MCMHB Programs | Service Funding
The Board is committed to being a responsible trustee of Macon County’s mental health tax and believes that purchasing individual client services best meets its commitment to assure quality services at reasonable costs. Any individual or organization which meets the relevant, appropriate criteria is eligible to receive Board funds. These services assist those who are dealing with mental illness or other mental health issues, a developmental disability or a substance abuse problem. Many of these services are provided free of charge or on a sliding scale based on income.
Early Intervention Child & Family Connections
For seventeen years the Board has operated Early Intervention Child & Family Connections (CFC). It is a statewide system that has been established to ensure that all referrals of children under the age of three receive a timely response by an initial service coordinator in a prompt, professional and family-centered manner. There are 26 CFCs in the state. The CFC #19 serves the following counties: Clark, Coles, Cumberland, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt and Shelby. This CFC is the central point of entry for all children needing Early Intervention Services.
Woodford Homes, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation founded by the Board in 1974. This organization strives to provide quality, affordable housing for low income individuals with a mental disorder and those with a mental or physical disability.
