Service Description: Intergrated CHIC/Public Health Department – Mental Health Counseling and Consultation within the Community Health Improvement Center and within the Macon County Public Health Department.

Service Description: Sex Offender Evaluations -Provides court-ordered juvenile sex offender evaluations for youth involved in the Macon County Juvenile Justice system.

Service Description: Medicaid Youth Services – Counseling, case management, assessment and other outpatient services for children and adolescents diagnosed with a mental disorder while indicating difficulty functioning within their family home and/or community setting. The Mental Health Board is the payor of Medicaid for these services.

Service Description: Community Based Youth Services – Out patient interventions for youth at risk including: formal assessment, counseling, case management, weekly teen groups, and linkages with other services in Macon and Piatt Counties. The Mental Health Board’s funding is a match for State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services funding to Youth Advocate, Inc.

Service Description: Hidden Victims Program – Provides individual and group counseling for any person at any age who has a family member/significant other become a victim of homicide or has a family member/significant other die while the innocent victim of criminal activity.

Service Description: Mental Health Court – The Mental Health Board provides funding for a variety of activities related to the Macon County Mental Health Court. An individual with a mental disorder who commits a non-violent crime due to the mental disorder may become involved with Mental Health Court. The Court provides such an individual with the opportunity to participate in treatment under the Court’s supervision. This provides an alternative to incarceration.

Service Description: Mental Health Services – outpatient services including but not limited to couseling, case management and assessment designed to provide brief treatment to children, adolescents, adults and older adults who are suspected of having a mental health problem and/or disorder. Services are provided within the CHIC clinic.

Service Description: Counseling/Student Assistance Program – For individuals, couples and families who are experiencing a wide range of psychological and interpersonal problems. These outpatient services are targeted at individuals with non chronic, serious mental disorders. Student assistance services are made available in all of the County’s Catholic schools

Service Description: Family Advocate Program – An intensive service in which a caseworker and two family advocates provide comprehensive support, counseling, and advocacy services to families whose children have been indentified as abused or neglected. Mental Health Board funds are a match for State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services funding to Youth Advocate.

Service Description: Rental Assistance – Funding to assist individuals with mental disorders and/or substance abuse disorders and/or developmental disorders in acquiring and maintaining independent housing. Funding may also be used to assist in the prchase of start-up supplies.
