Fifty years ago, in a message to Congress, President John F. Kennedy introduced the nation to a vision for community-based approach to mental illness.

How far have we come in the fifty years since President Kennedy pulled back the curtain on mental illness?  Are we going backwards or forwards?  Recent incidents in Aurora, CO and Newtown, CN have brought more attention to mental illness.  And now, President Obama is calling for a national dialog on this topic.  HHS Secretary Karen Sebelius gets us started with a guest editorial in USA Today.  Check it out at: http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2013/02/04/kathleen-sebelius-on-mental-health-care/1890859/
